The Lebanon Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Josh Evans as the new head coach of the girls volleyball program, pending Board of Education approval.Â
Coach Evans most recently served as the head coach at Preble-Shawnee since 2020 where he accumulated a record of 59-13 over three seasons. Evans was named Western Ohio Athletic Conference (WOAC) Coach of The Year and District 15 Coach of The Year this past season after the Arrows went 22-2 and advanced to the district semifinal game.Â
Coach Evans, who resides in Monroe, is also involved in the club volleyball scene as a coach and trainer with Borderline Jrs Volleyball Club.Â
"I am beyond excited to start this new adventure and continue to grow and push this program to new levels. My vision for the program will consist of continuing the amazing seasons they have had in years past and push to become a program that is viewed as one of the best, not only in the city, but in the state of Ohio," Evans shared.Â
As announced this Fall, Karen Miranda stepped away from coaching both the girls and boys volleyball programs as her daughter, Ninah (senior), will continue her career at Lipscomb University in Nashville in 2023. Â STORY HERE
