Harmon Civic Trust Awards

The Harmon Civic Trust was founded by William Elmer Harmon, a native of Lebanon, Ohio, in 1914. As a multimillionaire, Harmon established the Trust to enhance the health, happiness, and welfare of Lebanon's citizens by funding public spaces and programs. The Trust has provided recreational facilities, including Harmon Park, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a golf course. It also funded playgrounds, trails, and bike paths, such as the Little Miami Bike Trail.
Additionally, the Trust has supported local organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Lebanon Public Library, and the Warren County Historical Society. It sponsors educational programs, arts initiatives, and awards, such as the Scholar/Athlete Awards for Lebanon High School students who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the year and participate in at least one varsity sport. The Trust has also funded programs for students at Lebanon Junior High and launched a relief program for non-profits during the pandemic.Â
Harmon’s vision continues to shape and enrich the community, leaving a lasting legacy of support and service to the people of Lebanon and Warren County.
Congratulations to this year's recipients!
