2022 Thank You Coach Miranda

Girls Volleyball By Keith Pantling, Athletic Director

THANK YOU, COACH MIRANDA

Coach Miranda will step away from coaching; Head Girls Volleyball position posted

Karen Miranda will step away as the girls volleyball coach as her daughter, Ninah (senior), will continue her career at division 1 Lipscomb University in Nashville in 2023.

Coach Miranda helped continue the history of success during her time leading the program the past two seasons. In 2021, the Warriors won the Eastern Cincinnati Conference and Miranda was named Coach of The Year. This year, the Warriors finished with an 18-6 record, Lebanon's fifth straight year of 18-plus victories. They advanced in the playoffs both years before falling in the District semifinals.

Prior to taking over as head coach, she served as an assistant in the program for four years.

Coach Miranda was also instrumental in working with the athletic department to launch the boys volleyball club program last year. She worked diligently to set up all elements of a new program including scheduling, fundraising, soliciting volunteer assistant coaches, and quickly developing the skill level of our student athletes, making them very competitive in year one.  A new coach will take the reins for this club organization as well (TBA).

Mrs. Miranda will continue to serve the district in her role as a teacher and intervention specialist.

Interested candidates to fill the vacancy for girls varsity volleyball head coach for the 2022-2023 school year should send an e-mail of interest and resume to athletic director Keith Pantling at pantling.keith@lebanonschools.org.  To formally apply, visit www.lebanonschools.org/employment. The position will remain open until filled.
