Scott Kober

Coach Scott Kober is entering his 6th year as a coach with Lebanon High School, with two years as the Girls Bowling Head Coach. Before coaching the girls team, he spent 3 years coaching the JV Boys Bowling team as a parent volunteer.

A graduate of Oak Hills High School (Class of '95), Coach Kober has been involved in bowling since his youth, participating in both a youth league and a Cincinnati-area travel league before high school bowling was a sanctioned sport. He continued his passion for bowling in college at Purdue University, where he made the club bowling team in his senior year and competed in a tournament in South Bend, IN.

Coach Scott Kober had an outstanding season leading the Girls Bowling team in 2024/25. Under his leadership, the team captured the ECC Championship and finished 1st place in the ECC, with Coach Kober earning recognition as Girls Bowling Coach of the Year. The team’s remarkable performance also led them to the District Tournament.

During the 2023-2024 season, Coach Kober guided the Girls Bowling team to a 2nd-place finish in the ECC, and saw Lilly Daniels advance from the Sectional Tournament to the Districts. Additionally, Coach Kober coached the JV Boys Bowling team to a 1st-place finish in the Lancer Baker Bash Tournament.

Outside of coaching, Coach Kober has spent the last 10 years as a stay-at-home dad, helping his children balance their active schedules in baseball, softball, football, volleyball, and bowling. He also assists his parents with their business and enjoys sports action photography and collecting baseball cards and memorabilia.

Coach Kober and his wife, Shannon, have four children: Sean (20), a Lebanon High School graduate from the Class of 2023; Caitlyn (17), a junior at LHS who participates in both bowling and softball; Ryan (14), an 8th grader who plays football, baseball, and bowls in a youth league; and Logan (10), who plays baseball, football, wrestles, and bowls in a youth league.

Coach Kober is dedicated to fostering skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork, and is passionate about helping his athletes excel on and off the lanes.
