With over a decade of coaching experience, Christy Smith has been a dedicated cheerleading coach at Lebanon High School, inspiring athletes to reach their fullest potential. A former collegiate cheerleader at Wilmington College, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the sport. Under her leadership, the team has achieved remarkable success, including being named the 2022 ECC Runner-Up, securing the title of 2024 UCA Hoosier Regional Champions, and placing 7th in the UCA Nationals for both Medium Game Day and Non-Building categories.
Christy's coaching accolades also include a 5th place finish at the 2022 UCA Nationals in Traditional Non-Building. Her commitment to excellence was recognized when she was awarded the LebanESPY’s Coach of the Year alongside her colleague and coaching partner, Bethanie Lamb.
Beyond coaching, Christy is an enthusiastic educator and enjoys designing and sewing in her free time. She loves attending college football games and cheering for her daughters, who are both passionate about the sport.
Christy has been happily married to her husband Ryan for 25 years. They are proud parents to their son Connor, a senior studying Chemical Engineering at The Ohio State University, daughter Ella, a junior Graphic Design major and small coed cheerleader at Eastern Kentucky University, son Charlie, who serves in the Air National Guard, and daughter Scarlett, a second grader. The family also includes their rescue cat, Bertram (Bert), who adds joy to their lives.
