Josseph's Tears of Joy was created to keep alive the memory of Josseph Mitchell-Payne, the son of Sidney residents Jeff and Wendy Mitchell-Payne. Josseph was born in 2012 with Potter's Syndrome and lived for 71 minutes. His parents created Josseph's Tears of Joy as a way to honor their son's legacy.

There is a connection among all three teams and Josseph's Tears of Joy, as Lebanon Head Coach Keith Shilt and Josseph's mom Wendy graduated together from Wayne HS in 1991. Sidney is where the Payne family lives and where their children attend school. Also in attendance for the Toy Presentation was Lebanon Graduate Zach McGinty, who now works at Ronald McDonald House in Dayton.
The toys were donated to the Ronald McDonald House which helps families navigate pediatric illness in an effort to keep everyone smiling. Josseph's Closet is located in the Ronald McDonald House and provides new toys to sick and injured children, as well as their siblings, helping to ease the stress and anxiety that often comes with medical care.
On the field, Lebanon won both of their games. However, all three programs came out on top as they came together to support a cause that is bigger than the game on the field.
