Lebanon High School senior student-athlete Nick Lautar will sign his National Letter of Intent to play football at The Ohio State University on Wednesday, December 3, at 3:15 p.m. The ceremony will take place in the LHS Main Gym and is open to the public.
Lautar—a 6'5", 230-pound standout tight end and wrestler for the Warriors—is an exceptional all-around student-athlete. He is a member of the National Honor Society, carries a 4.02 GPA, and will graduate early to enroll at Ohio State in January, foregoing his senior wrestling season.
This signing marks a significant moment for both Lebanon and Warren County, as only a select group of Ohio high school athletes each year earn scholarship opportunities with the state's flagship institution and the nation's #1-ranked NCAA Division I football program. Friends, community members, and Buckeye fans are invited to attend and help create an electric atmosphere by wearing scarlet and gray. In recognition of the event's anticipated visibility, Lebanon Athletics and the Lautar family will support Coats for a Cause in partnership with Family Promise of Warren County. Each fall and winter, Family Promise provides warm coats, hats, scarves, and gloves to local individuals and families. Donation bins will be available in the athletic office throughout the week of December 1–5, as well as at the entrance of the signing event, for those wishing to donate new or gently used coats of any size.
Please note that school dismisses at 2:25 p.m. on December 3. Visitors are asked to arrive no earlier than 2:40 p.m., park in the north (student) lot, and enter through Door 10 for direct access to the Main Gym.
