Lebanon senior student-athlete Colton Hartman is set to play in the Perfect Game All-American Baseball Classic this coming Sunday on ESPNU at 8:00pm at the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chase Field.
This prestigious event, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, offers the baseball community a sneak peek at 50 of the best high school seniors from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico that are destined to make their mark at the collegiate and professional levels of the sport. 261 players from this game over the last 20 years have been 1st round selections in the Major League Baseball Draft. 87 Perfect Game All-American alumni made Opening Day rosters this year.
Hartman will play on the East squad and is the only player to be selected to the team from the State of Ohio. Colton is currently committed to continuing his academic and athletic careers at the University of Louisville in 2023. However, It's likely he'll have a professional opportunity to consider after next summer's draft.
Proceeds of the game go to Rady Children's Hospital and pediatric cancer treatment and research. More than $850,000 has been raised for Rady's to date, and over $1.3 million for local causes in total. Colton also has a fundraising link that you find in the bio of his instagram (@coltonhartman5) and twitter (@colton_hartman5) that is raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the PG Cares Foundation.
