Ella Smith

Lebanon High School is excited to welcome Ella Smith to the cheerleading staff as a first-year coach specializing in sideline cheer and stunting for the Warriors.

A proud Lebanon graduate, Ella was a standout cheerleader during her time at Lebanon High School, earning numerous honors including 1st Team All-GWOC, Warrior Award, Best Teammate Award, Scholar Athlete, NHSCC Finalist, UCA All-American, and being part of the LebanESPY’s Girls Team of the Year.

Ella continued her cheerleading career at Eastern Kentucky University as a member of the Top Girl program. During her collegiate career, she earned Rookie of the Year, the Colonel Award, and Scholar Athlete recognition while helping lead the Colonels to a 2023 D1 Small Coed Runner-Up finish and a 2024 D1 Small Coed National Championship.

Before returning home to Lebanon, Ella served as the Assistant Cheer Coach at Frederick Douglass High School during the 2025-2026 season, helping guide the program to a KHSAA State Championship and a 6th-place finish in the Large Varsity D1 division at NHSCC.

Ella recently graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Coaching. Outside of cheerleading, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, crafting, and, of course, stunting and tumbling.

Joining the Lebanon coaching staff is especially meaningful for Ella, as she now has the opportunity to coach alongside her mom. Lebanon athletics have always been a big part of her family, with both of her older brothers graduating from Lebanon High School as accomplished student-athletes. She also loves sharing her passion for cheer with her younger sister and spending time at home with her grumpy cat, Bertram.
