Chris Perry

Coach Chris Perry brings over 20 years of coaching experience to Lebanon High School, proudly joining the Warriors for his first season. A throws specialist with a passion for developing complete student-athletes, Coach Perry’s background is rooted in both elite performance and dedicated mentorship.

A graduate of Oak Hills High School, he was a four-year varsity letter winner in Track & Field (Shot Put and Discus), earning multiple Team Field Event MVP honors, All-League recognition, two Regional appearances, and the prestigious Muskie Award for Dedication and Work Ethic.

Coach Perry continued his throwing career collegiately at Mount St. Joseph University (2005–2008) and Wilmington College (2008–2011), competing in Shot Put and Discus.

  • Coached 10+ school record holders

  • 6 HCAC Conference Champions

  • Multiple school record holders

  • 8+ OAC Conference Champions

  • Mason Metts – 2x NCAA Division III National Qualifier (Hammer & Shot Put)

  • Marissa Bolen – 2x NCAA Division III National Qualifier; back-to-back seasons ranked #4 in Division III Shot Put

Centerville High School (2011–2012)

  • 4 GWOC Conference Champions

  • Benny McGowan – 2x State Qualifier; 1x All-State (Shot Put)

Fairfield High School (2015–2018)

  • 2x GWOC Boys Team Champions

  • Braylin Leahr – District Champion (Shot Put), Regional Qualifier

Private Coach (2018–Present)

  • Mitchell Soviak – Division II State Champion (Shot Put)

  • Mike Diehl – Para Shot Putter; 2025 Hartford National F56 Champion & National Record Holder

  • Currently coaching three throwers preparing for the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles

Coach Perry is a USATF Level 2 Coach in Throws and Jumps and is known for developing technically sound athletes who compete with discipline, confidence, and toughness.

Outside of coaching, Coach Perry serves as a Contract Specialist for the United States Air Force. He and his wife Beth have been married for 19 years and are proud parents to Larkin (freshman), Weston (8th grade), and Zane (6th grade)—all Lebanon students. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, watching football, coaching his kids, and lifting weights.

The Warriors are excited to welcome Coach Perry’s experience, leadership, and championship mindset to the Lebanon Track & Field program.
