Lebanon Warriors Athletics

Coach Nick Hensley brings over 21 years of coaching experience to his role as Head Wrestling Coach at Lebanon High School. Before joining Lebanon, Coach Hensley coached at the Hamilton City School District, where he consistently led his teams to the top 5 in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC), coaching 8 state qualifiers, 4 state place winners, and one state finalist.

Since joining Lebanon, Coach Hensley has continued his success, guiding his athletes to impressive individual and team accomplishments, including:

• 5 GWOC Champions

• 26 ECC Champions

• 24 Sectional Champions

• 3 District Champions

Additionally, the Lebanon wrestling teams have had 102 dual meet victories for the boys and over 30 for the girls over the past 11 seasons. Coach Hensley's athletes have earned 14 boys and 11 girls All-Academic Ohio selections in the same period. He has also coached 12 State Place Winners, further solidifying his success.

Under his leadership, the Lebanon wrestling program has achieved significant team success, including:

• GWOC South Champions (2016)

• ECC Champions (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)

• Sectional Champions (2020, 2022)

• Regional State Duals Champions/Elite 8 (2022)

Coach Hensley’s excellence has been recognized multiple times, earning GWOC Coach of the Year honors in 2015, 2016, and 2018, and ECC Coach of the Year in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

In addition to his coaching role, Coach Hensley serves as an Intervention Specialist and Strength Coach at Lebanon High School, dedicated to the overall development of his students. Outside of coaching, Coach Hensley enjoys riding and racing motorcycles, fishing, home improvement projects, and staying active with fitness. He has been married to his wife, Virginia, for 21 years, and they have two sons, London and Grey, along with their Newfoundland dog, Tobi.

Coach Hensley’s commitment to his athletes goes beyond the mat. He strives to instill in them the values of hard work, discipline, and leadership, both in their athletic pursuits and in their personal lives.
