Coach Nick Hensley brings over 22 years of coaching experience to his role as Head Wrestling Coach at Lebanon High School. A former standout wrestler at Shippensburg University, where he was a team captain and a two-year starter in NCAA Division II wrestling, Coach Hensley continued his academic and athletic pursuits at Wright State University for his graduate degree.
Before joining Lebanon, Coach Hensley coached at the Hamilton City School District, where he consistently led his teams to the top 5 in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC). During this time, he coached 8 state qualifiers, 4 state place winners, and one state finalist.

Coach Hensley’s excellence has been recognized multiple times, earning GWOC Coach of the Year honors in 2015, 2016, and 2018, and ECC Coach of the Year in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
In addition to his coaching role, Coach Hensley serves as an Intervention Specialist and Strength Coach at Lebanon High School, dedicated to the overall development of his students. Outside of coaching, Coach Hensley enjoys riding and racing motorcycles, fishing, home improvement projects, and staying active with fitness. He has been married to his wife, Virginia, for 21 years, and they have two sons, London and Grey, along with their Newfoundland dog, Tobi.
Coach Hensley’s commitment to his athletes goes beyond the mat. He strives to instill in them the values of hard work, discipline, and leadership, both in their athletic pursuits and in their personal lives.
