Jason Simcoe is entering his 14th year of coaching, with 12 of those years dedicated to Lebanon High School. As the Boys Head Track Coach and Assistant Cross Country Coach, Jason brings a deep passion for athletics and a commitment to developing young talent.
A graduate of Colerain High School, Jason excelled in both Cross Country and Track and Field before continuing his athletic career at Ohio Northern University. His coaching journey began with significant roles at Logan Elm High School, where he served as an Assistant Track Coach in 2013 and as an Assistant Cross Country Coach in 2012. He also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Track Coach at White Oak Junior High in 2010 and an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Colerain High School the same year.
Jason has a proven track record of success, coaching numerous athletes who have achieved outstanding accolades. Among his most notable athletes is Calvin Kilgallon, the 2024 OHSAA Outdoor State Champion and OATCCC Indoor State Champion in the 800-meter run, as well as a multiple-time All-Ohio performer. Under Jason’s guidance, his athletes have not only excelled individually but have also set district and conference records, earning prestigious titles such as ECC Champion, District Champion, Regional Champion, as well as All-Ohio across a variety of events. Other standout athletes, including Elijah Doster, Austin Miller, and Jerrick Kelley, have also thrived under his mentorship, showcasing their talents in various championships and contributing to the program's success.
In addition to coaching, Jason is a dedicated health teacher at Lebanon High School. Outside of athletics, he enjoys running, reading, and spending quality time with his family. He and his wife, Katlyn, have been married since 2014 and live in Lebanon with their daughters, Addy (born in 2016) and Emmaline (born in 2019).
With a strong focus on teamwork, discipline, and personal growth, Jason is eager to guide his athletes through another successful season, instilling a love for the sport and helping them reach their full potential.
