Hanah Rotello

Coach Hanah Rotello is excited to return to her roots and contribute to the Lebanon High School Girls Lacrosse program as a Varsity Assistant Coach. A proud Lebanon High School graduate, Coach Rotello was an accomplished athlete in multiple sports, including golf, basketball, swimming, and lacrosse, where she played as a midfielder.

After high school, Coach Rotello continued her lacrosse career at Lee University, where she played as a midfielder. Her coaching journey began at Newberry College, followed by roles at West Ashley High School where she started the lacrosse program, and Wando High School, where she served as an assistant coach, helping lead the team to a state championship. She also coached Team Coastal, where her athletes earned multiple first-team and second-team All-South Atlantic Conference honors at the D2 college level.

Notably, Coach Rotello's leadership and guidance at Wando High School produced multiple first-team and second-team Conference and State players. At West Ashley High School, she played a key role in establishing and building the lacrosse program, helping shape the team into a competitive force in the region.

In addition to her coaching experience, Coach Rotello works as a Business Process Specialist for Cintas, where she brings a sharp focus on organization and efficiency to everything she does. Her professional career and personal passions align with her coaching philosophy—she strives to teach athletes the importance of teamwork, discipline, and dedication both on and off the field.

Coach Rotello is deeply involved in her local church and enjoys gardening, traveling, reading, and working out. She has many family members in the Lebanon area, and is thrilled to be back coaching at her alma mater, where she hopes to inspire the next generation of lacrosse players.

BENNET NEWMAN - Boys Lacrosse

Coach Bennet Newman returns to Lebanon High School as the new Head Coach of the Boys Lacrosse program, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for the game. A Lebanon graduate, Coach Newman was a standout lacrosse player, excelling as an attackman. During his high school career, he was named All-Region, earned Resolute All-Ohio honors, and was invited to the FCA National Team. He also set the single-season scoring record in 2019 with 95 points, a feat he achieved during his junior season before his senior year was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recruited by Division I colleges starting in 8th grade, Coach Newman ultimately chose to attend Liberty University, where he played midfield and contributed to an MCLA D1 Final 4 game. His college experience helped further shape his understanding of the game and solidified his love for lacrosse, as well as his commitment to teamwork and leadership.

Before taking on the role of Head Coach at Lebanon, Coach Newman served as a Headlines Club Lacrosse Coach for two years, and worked as a private trainer while also coaching at Berry Intermediate School. His coaching style is rooted in his belief in servant leadership and his commitment to building athletes not only in their sport but in their character. He is dedicated to creating a culture of discipline, teamwork, and excellence.

As a coach, Coach Newman believes that "the foundation and core of who I am rests in Jesus Christ. He has saved me, redeemed me, and given me a purpose to live. I hope to be a shining light to those around me in the lacrosse world and exemplify servant leadership as the new varsity lacrosse head coach."

Outside of lacrosse, Coach Newman enjoys spending time with his wife, Danielle, and their Golden Retriever puppy. He loves to travel and explore new countries and U.S. national parks—last year, they explored 17 countries! He is also an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoys snowboarding and surfing across the country. Coach Newman met his wife in Hawaii in 2020, and they were married in June of 2023. They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby girl in December 2024.
