Coach Cheryl McKettrick is in her second year as an Assistant Coach for the Lebanon High School Cross Country program. With a passion for running and a deep commitment to developing young athletes, Coach McKettrick has quickly become an integral part of the Lebanon coaching staff.
A graduate of Redford Bishop Borgess High School in the Detroit area, Coach McKettrick excelled in both basketball and track. She played as a Point Guard in basketball and was a Middle Distance Runner on the track team. Her accomplishments include being named the 1979 Female Athlete of the Year at Bishop Borgess and earning the title of 1979 Detroit Area Catholic/Academic Female Track Athlete of the Year. She was also part of the 1976 Class A State of Michigan Regional Track Championship team.
Before joining Lebanon, Coach McKettrick coached Mason Middle School Track and Cross Country starting in 2022. During her time at Mason, her teams achieved great success, including winning GMC Championships in both Middle School Track (2022 and 2023) and Middle School Girls Track (2022 and 2023).
Coach McKettrick is also a Retired Engineer, having worked at Procter & Gamble for 35 years. Though retired from engineering, she continues to stay active by coaching and running for fun, sharing her love of sports with the next generation of athletes.
Outside of coaching, Coach McKettrick enjoys spending time with her partner Marnie and their six children. Two of their children are graduates of Ohio State University (OSU), two are graduates of University of Cincinnati (UC), and two are currently attending Mason High School.
