Lebanon Athletics is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for the Lady Warriors with the selection of Kimar Morris as the next head varsity girls basketball coach, pending Board of Education approval.
Coach Morris brings a strong reputation and deep roots within the Cincinnati basketball community, earning high praise for both his leadership and basketball acumen. Lebanon looks forward to the energy and vision he will bring, as his holistic approach emphasizes skill development, passion, unity, character, and academic excellence while striving to maximize student-athlete potential and reestablish a competitive presence in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.Â
Most recently, he served as head coach at Hamilton High School for the past two seasons. Taking over a program that had seen limited success prior to him taking the helm, Coach Morris brought immediate results by quickly achieving in two years the same win total that the program had recorded over the previous five-year span.  Â
Coach Morris shared, "I'm honored to join the Lebanon community. Our program will be built on PRIDE—Passion, Relentless Effort, Innovation, Discipline, and Excellence. These aren't just words; they will define how we train, how we compete, and how we represent Lebanon every day. Our goal is to develop young women who lead with confidence, compete with purpose, and carry themselves with pride both on and off the court."
Kimar holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Cincinnati, where he was a walk-on member of the football team, and a master's degree in education from the University of Dayton. His coaching experience spans multiple levels, including serving as head boys coach at Finneytown (2014–2017), assistant boys coach at Hamilton High School under Kevin Higgins, and beginning his high school coaching career as a junior varsity coach at Aiken High School in 2002.
Beyond the court, Coach Morris is a dedicated educator and currently serves as an Intervention Specialist for Hamilton City Schools. He is also an active motivational speaker, working with local schools and youth programs on mental health, leadership, and character development. He resides in Liberty Township with his wife, Dalonda, and his three kids, Kierra, 22, Jailen, 19, and Alana, 17.
A meeting will be held for prospective players on Monday at LHS at 5:00pm (location TBA).Â
Please join the entire Lebanon City Schools community in welcoming Coach Morris as the new leader of the Lady Warriors basketball program.
