Lebanon High School Athletics is proud to announce that its annual varsity track invitational will now be named in honor of longtime science teacher and coach, Marty Collier. Coach Collier retired following the 2024–2025 school year and track season, bringing to a close an extraordinary career of service to Lebanon High School. The meet was previously known simply as the Lebanon Invite, and will now be known as the Marty Collier Warrior Invitational.
Coach Collier's impact on LHS is difficult to put into words—both in the classroom and in athletics. Since joining the coaching staff in 1993, he served in several key roles, including Girls Head Track Coach, Assistant Cross Country Coach, and Assistant Football Coach. His steady leadership, consistency, and commitment to excellence earned him widespread recognition, including six Girls Track Coach of the Year honors across the FAVC, MML, and GWOC conferences.
Naming this event in Coach Collier's honor ensures future generations of Warriors understand the legacy he built through commitment, discipline, and kindness. His influence will continue to inspire Lebanon student-athletes for years to come.
Coach Collier is now enjoying a well-earned retirement.
This year's invitational, which typically features 10–12 visiting schools, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6 at VanDeGrift Stadium (160 Miller Road). Field events typically begin at approximately 4:00 p.m.
