Volleyball
Lebanon captured its first district championship since 2007 on Saturday, defeating conference rival Little Miami 3–0 at Lakota East. The Warriors have continued to elevate their play as the season has progressed, led by senior standouts and longtime program contributors Madison Kyle and Ava Long. The emergence of freshmen Lexi Upper (middle) and Miranda Ludwick (setter) has also fueled a strong late-season surge. The Warriors will face perennial power and No. 1 overall seed Seton on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Lakota West in the regional semifinals. Come support! Tickets here.
Football
Lebanon wrapped up the regular season with a 7–3 record, marking the third consecutive year the Warriors have reached seven wins. It's the first three-year stretch of 7+ win seasons since the Dave Brausch era (1996–2003), when the program accomplished the feat eight straight times. The Warriors earned the No. 8 seed in Region 2, securing a home playoff game to open the postseason on Halloween night (Friday, Oct. 31). Lebanon will host No. 9 Fairmont (5–5) at 7:00 p.m. Fairmont is a tremendous team that played a challenging schedule, with its five regular-season losses decided by a combined total of just 16 points. Ticketing and parking information will be shared later this week. Please note the game is managed by the OHSAA, so booster passes and staff IDs are not accepted and there is no reserved parking. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students, available online here (or cash at the gate). The game will also be streamed live by Spectrum.
Competition Cheer
Lebanon's competition cheer teams shined at the UCA Ohio Regionals on Sunday at Olentangy, looking to punch their tickets to Nationals in Orlando—and they did just that! The GameDay squad claimed the regional championship to earn its bid, while the Traditional squad also secured a national bid with a runner-up finish in the Building Division. This program continues to reach new heights, living up to its motto of "building tradition."Nationals will take place in February.
Cross Country
The boys cross country team qualified for the State meet after finishing 7th out of 22 teams at the Super Regional—just the fourth state appearance in school history (1964, 2017, 2019, 2025). Michael Strawser led the way, placing 14th overall with a time of 16:06.85. He was followed by Aiden Long (45th), Tyler Sarver (47th), Samuel Ansberry (52nd), and Austin Sarver (55th) to anchor an impressive team performance.
On the girls side, the team placed 12th overall—just shy of the qualifying cutoff—but senior Kendall Hoeffel punched her individual ticket to State after finishing 23rd (19:32.97) in her return from injury.
The OHSAA State Championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 at Fortress Obetz in Columbus. The Division I girls will race at 3:30 p.m., followed by the boys at 4:10 p.m. A school-wide clap-out is being planned for these state qualifiers on Friday.
